i-Dream, an educational initiative for girls of grade 5 to 8, that as its name suggests, aims to foster and nurture dreams in young minds by encouraging creative and imaginative thought.
Poetry, Storytelling, Art are some of the tools used to free minds from the shackles of traditional thought, spurring girls on to believe in themselves and their ability to carve out a self sufficient life.
The program helps underprivileged girls complete high school and blossom into socially responsible, independent and mature adults involved in school and community. The program provides academic and life skills support for girls. Students are enrolled in the program with the goal to improve school attendance and reduce incidences of early marriages.
Our teachers understand the hardships these girls face because of their background and poverty, so they often work closely with them and their families, to ensure that their education can continue despite all the hindrances.
Providing a safe and constructive environment, where these girls can learn and grow with their friends, iDream helps these girls come out of their shells and become more confident and socially functional. Besides all the activities, the academic help given to these girls improve their grades and thus motivate them to stay in school and envision a future of high flying careers.
